Where the sun shines the brightest

From early on Stephan Rötzer had the dream of bringing fruit and vegetables to the table in a different way. As fresh and healthy as he himself loves it. So he started to learn from scratch how to do it the right way: as a fork lift truck operator, both in wholesale and retail, as a buyer in a supermarket chain and as a managing director for a citrus packaging-company in Valencia.

In 1993, at the age of 27, the Munich born guy founded SanLucar Fruit S.L. in Valencia. Since then SanLucar has grown to over 120 employees and longtime contract farmers in more than 30 countries are enthusiastically appointed for the selected fruits and vegetables harvested by hand.

What is Stephan Rötzer proud of? That he and his family can enjoy the delicious fruits from SanLucar not only fresh from an orangery adjacent to their very front door but in many places worldwide. And wherever he goes to convince himself of the SanLucar quality, he gets the feeling: "In SanLucar country the sun shines the brightest."
