Blueberries

German SanLucar blueberries come from South Franken, where the sun shines a lot. They mature, as their colleagues from Spain, Poland and France, in high places where there are great diurnal temperature changes, the best situation for blueberries, because in high places they get more sun than in the valley and therefore their tasty full aroma is mouth watering. Because SanLucar blueberries are only harvested at their best maturity point, only the biggest and ideal coloured fruits come to the market.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Unwashed fruits can be stored in the fridge at low temperatures for some days.
• Before preparing the blueberries, wash them in cool water and let them drain well.
