Blueberries

German SanLucar blueberries come from South Franken, where the sun shines a lot. There they mature in high places where there are great temperature changes along the course of the day and night; this is the best situation for blueberries, because in high places they get more sun than in the valley and therefore their tasty full aroma is mouth watering. No matter whether they come from Germany, Spain or France, SanLucar blueberries are only harvested when they are ripe enough. Therefore, only the biggest and optimally coloured fruits come to the market.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Unwashed fruits can be stored in the fridge at low temperatures for some days.
• Before preparing the blueberries, wash them in cool water and let them drain well.
