Grapefruit

Only the variety Star Ruby is allowed to become a SanLucar grapefruit. Beneath the yellow-orange coloured skin with its red cheeks, there is an intensive red and after all, juicy pulp. Furthermore the “Star Ruby” has a unique acid-sugar balance. The fruit sugar content is between 12 and 13 degrees – this guarantees a smooth, pleasantly acidic and delicious taste.

SanLucar' Tip:

  • When you squeeze them, you can, as with all other citrus, get more juice if you roll them with a slight pressure between your hands.
  • Look at the colour when you buy them. Fruits with pink skin are sweeter and less bitter than fruits with yellow skin.
