Like most SanLucar citrus, eating oranges are grown in the Valencian and South African coastal regions, because this area is especially appropriate for growing this sensitive fruit. A constant wind takes care that fruits dry immediately after any rain. This way, no humidity is left that could damage the protection of the flesh. Many eating oranges contain limonin, a naturally bitter substance which during pressing unfold a bitter aroma. Our eating oranges belong to our concept “Eating or pressing”, which is an orientation or suggestion for our customers.
