Kiwi

SanLucar kiwis come from the French Basque country and Southern France, where the high summer temperatures make kiwis flourish. So that SanLucar kiwis can develop their full flavour, they are harvested very late. This way, they usually show a fruit sugar content of 10 degrees Brix, whereas other Kiwis peak at only 7 or 8 degrees.

SanLucar Tipp:

  • You should not mix kiwis with milk, curd cheese or yoghurt, because then they test bitter.
  • The fruits are ripe when the skin gives under moderate pressure.
