Kiwi

SanLucar kiwis come from Southern France and from Australia, where the high summer temperatures make kiwis flourish. So that SanLucar kiwis can develop their full flavour, they are harvested very late. This way, they usually show a fruit sugar content of 10 degrees Brix, whereas other Kiwis peak at only 7 or 8 degrees.

SanLucar' Tip:

  • You should not mix kiwis with milk, curd cheese or yoghurt, because then they taste bitter.
  • The fruits are ripe when the skin gives under moderate pressure.
