Mango
It is very important to wait with the harvesting of the mango until it is mature on the outside, because mangos mature from within to the outer skin. So that each fruit can mature, we harvest each tree three times. You can recognize the SanLucar mango because of the natural bloom covering them, they are fresh and untreated.
SanLucar' Tip:
- When you buy mangos you should touch them and follow your nose rather than looking at the colour of the skin. A mature mango, ready to eat, produces a pleasant smell.
- To prepare a mango to eat raw, cut the fruit along the length in three pieces and try to lead the knife as close as possible to the stone. With a spoon, you loosen from both sides pieces of the fruit flesh. Finally, the skin from the middle piece can be peeled off and the rest of the fruit flesh can be cut or spooned.
