Pineapple

SanLucar pineapples come from the tropics of Costa Rica and Ecuador, because they are cherished with enough sun and rain. It has a balanced mixture of tartness and fruit sugar and its flesh is extra juicy and sweet. For SanLucar only those fruits with homogenously coloured skin, without sunburnt spots and a good proportion between green crown and fruit are harvested.

• Pineapples as a dessert after a big meal do not only taste good, it also helps with the digestion.
• Cut pineapples can be stored up to 24 hours in the fridge if you cover them in cling film.
