Cherries

Only the sweetest and biggest cherries can become SanLucar cherries. They are matured for a long time on the tree and are harvested only at the best maturity point. Choice of variety is also important and only the varieties that promise the most beautiful aspect, full taste and long duration may become “Sunday-cherries“. The SanLucar cherries come from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Chile and Greece.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Cherries last up to two days in the fridge, if they are unwashed and stored open.
• Cherries do not mature after harvesting, so that you should make sure when you buy them, that they are at their best maturity point and have reached the corresponding sweetness. Choose bright, deep red or black cherries with a firm, smooth skin.
