Peaches

Peaches have been cultivated in the Spanish area of Calanda since the Middle Ages. So that they can develop well, pesticides are not used, but paper bags are put over the fruits on the tree. Also the other SanLucar varieties from Spain, Turkey and Italy, thanks to their sweet flesh, have an attractive appearance and velvet skin.

SanLucar' Tip:

  • To remove the skin you should cut a cross at the bottom and then scald them shortly in boiling water, then rinse them in ice-cool water and then remove the skin.
  • Tip for allergies: the fine hairs on the peach skin can be washed away under running water.
