Plums
The more sun the plums get, the sweeter they become. In the sunny Huelva province of Southern Spain, SanLucar plums are grown at their best. At the harvest, we take care that the white protection layer covering the plum is maintained, so that it does not dry out. In this way, the SanLucar plum tastes especially juicy.
SanLucar' Tip:
- Drying plums makes they last longer, but some varieties are more appropriate than others, because they do not ferment as easily.
- Fruits which are unripe can mature for some days at room temperature.
- These fruits are very good to eat as a snack; they are also good when cooking game, in sauces or as dessert. They taste really good with ice cream or cream cheese, but also in sweet breads.
