Pears



SanLucar pears come from Italy, South Africa and Chile. The whole year round you can get pears in different colours: yellow, dark brown with red spots or bright yellow with a red blush. You also have different textures available: from firm-sweet, sweet-juicy, soft to very firm flesh.

SanLucar' Tip:

  • You can recognize ripe pears through their intense smell.
  • Pears only last a few days and should be kept in the fridge.
  • Pears are best consumed raw (as a snack or as a dessert). They can also be cooked for compotes, sweet breads, garnishing game or just baked.
