Cucumber

The manually selected SanLucar cucumbers have a spotfree dark green skin and are homogeneously big. Country cucumbers are slightly shorter, have a thicker belly-shape and a smooth to rough skin, a firm flesh with intense flavour. Salad cucumbers are longer and taste more subtle. Because most vitamins are in the skin, SanLucar cucumbers are not treated, so that you can eat the skin without a second thought.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Cucumbers are very vulnerable to cold temperatures and therefore should not be stored in the fridge. In a cool place or at room temperatue they feel better (minimum 11° C).
• You cannot freeze cucumbers.
• Cut cucumbers should be kept away from other food, because they absorb their smell.
