Lettuce

SanLucar lettuce is cultivated in Spain, Italy and Germany, where the best fields are chosen, so that you can enjoy them the whole year round. So that the heart is dense and the head is firm, a mild, balanced climate is essential. When we harvest them, only the mid firm heads are carefully cut, without damaging the leaves. Due to its high ethylene vulnerability, lettuce should not be stored with tomatoes or apples.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Lettuce heads last in the fridge, uncut and unwashed in a plastic bag for up to one week.
• Iceberg lettuce is especially good for seasoning with fruits. Coloured salads not only give mixed lettuces a colour point, but are also tastier.
