Zucchini/courgette

The typical SanLucar courgette is dark green, shiny, firm and, above all, small. Because for courgettes, one thing is true: the smaller and fresher, the better the flavour. You can also recognize SanLucar courgettes because they are straight to slightly bent and have, from the flower end to the stalk, a round shape.

SanLucar' Tip:

• Zucchini should not be stored with tomatoes or fruits, because the ripening gas ethylene accelerates their ripening and the flesh becomes soft.
• The smaller and fresher the zucchini, the better the flavour.
