Under the best climatic conditions, SanLucar strawberries grow in Andalusia. In winter, the temperatures are mild, and in the spring, it is already nice and warm. However, not only the sun in the south of Spain makes SanLucar strawberries so tasty: Master growers treat the fruits with passion and knowledge and cultivate them in harmony with people and nature.

This means that, for example in the case of pest infestation, natural predators are used. Furthermore, a drip irrigation system is used to water the plants in an ideal and resource-saving way. SanLucar also helps the bees: color markings give the insects guidance in tunnel cultivation and no harmful substances are used.

SanLucar strawberries are only harvested when they are fully red, ripe and juicy. “Then, we pick them very carefully and gently place them in their protective packaging. That way, they look just as sweet as they taste. For SanLucar, strawberries are a matter of the heart”, explains master grower Genaro Gómez.
