Education provides opportunities

Education is the cornerstone for a good life. But not all children have the same favourable conditions and prerequisites to deal with and master their day-care time or schooling in the best possible way. Changing this is a matter close to our hearts. That’s why in Valencia we have provided more than 100 school backpacks for children aged 3 to 18 years with writing pads, coloured pencils, ballpoint pens, scissors and reflective pendants for a safe way to school.

These are many important and useful things for making a great start right at the beginning of the school year in September. We surprised the children from our soup kitchen »El Puchero« with these backpacks.

They are children from families who are not doing so well financially. The joy of the kids was huge and we hope that all children will have a lot of fun learning with the utensils we provided them.

And at our farm in Tunisia, we also celebrated the school start with a Fête du Savoir, a »Celebration of Knowledge«. There were various performances for the children of our farm employees, lots of music, traditional dances – and of course, school materials such as writing pads and pens. So that they also have the best learning conditions for the start of the new school year, because education is an important area of activity in our DREAMS programme.
