Less Toast – More Hawaii: Grilled Honey Pineapple

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 100 g of crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds
  • Mint leaves

Preparation:

Peel the pineapple and cut it into slices about 2 cm thick. Remove the pineapple core with a sharp knife or corer. Grill the pineapple slices on the hot grill from each side (works alternatively, of course, in the oven or in a pan). After turning, turn on one side with 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix crème fraîche with lemon juice, 2 tbsp honey and ginger. Pour the sauce over the pineapple slices. Garnish with the chopped almonds and mint leaves. Bon Appetit!
