We are right at the source for the round, red delicacies. From November to May, our tomatoes come from our Tunisian oasis “El Hamma,” where a 1200m deep and 60°C warm thermal spring continuously bubbles. The irrigation of the fruits with the unique mix of minerals adds extra flavour – and thanks to the intense sun of Tunisia, they achieve extraordinary sweetness.
The conditions here are not only fabulous for our tomatoes. When Tunisia decided to become a democratic country in 2012 and the whole country was on strike, our employees entrenched themselves in the SanLucar oasis. They simply wished to work in peace, since everything the Tunisians revolted for had long been the norm at SanLucar.
In 2012, the Tunisian government awarded us with the prestigious FIPA Award and immediately afterwards we received another nice tribute from Öko-Test: A “Very Good” for our Nibbling Tomatoes and a “Very Good” in 2016 for our Praline Tomatoes. They are truly a taste revolution.
