3 REASONS FRUIT AND VEGETABLES ARE HEALTHY

Anyone who occasionally visits nutritionists will read a sentence especially often: fruits and vegetables are healthy. And it’s true. But that is only a rough summary of all the positive effects the delicious fruits have on our bodies – provided they are eaten regularly, of course. 😉 There are enough concrete examples, which are much more convincing and make apple, banana, pear and Co. even more palatable. We’re now going to let you in on 3 of the reasons, which make especially fruits and vegetables not only delicious, but also good for your head and body:

  • In a study conducted by the Australian University of Queensland, it was found that fruit and vegetables can reduce the risk of vascular narrowing in the legs by 18 percent. All you have to do to prevent this: 3 to 4 handfuls of sweet vitamins. Nothing easier than that!
  • Even when it comes to preventing a severe obesity, our favourites have so much to offer: a Spanish study with 584 participants found that those who ate the most fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes were at a 43 per cent lower risk for obesity than those who at them the least.
  • Researchers from the University of Illinois have also discovered that fruits and vegetables have a positive effect on our brain. Because omega-3 fatty acids and vegetable fats from nuts, seeds and vegetable oils help you stay fit even in old age. And you like to snack a bit for this now and then. Don’t you? 😉
