Sweet refreshment for cool heads: Kiwi muffins

The fact that we like to snack with SanLucar is not a secret. Especially when it’s really stressful in everyday life, we can turn into a real sweet tooth! Since a sweet refreshment cannot hurt for keeping a cool head. And because a change can make a big difference, we went through some old cookbooks and stumbled across our delicious Kiwi Muffins – fortunately! Even with all the hustle and bustle, they will keep you in a good mood and will certainly taste just as good to you. Are you getting an appetite? Then put on your apron and off you go – here is the recipe:


  • 3 SanLucar Kiwis
  • 1 egg
  • 100g cane sugar
  • 60ml rapeseed oil
  • 240ml buttermilk
  • 1 SanLucar Lemon
  • 80ml pineapple juice
  • 200g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 80g grated almonds
  • 80g chocolate sprinkles


Peel the kiwi and dice. Rub off the lemon peel. Crack the egg, beat in a bowl. Add slowly sugar, oil, buttermilk, lemon peel and pineapple juice and stir. Mix in flour, baking soda, almonds and chocolate sprinkles. Fold into with the mixture in the bowl. Fold in the kiwi. Fill the muffin forms to about three quarters and bake at 180 degrees about 25 minutes.
