Do you like olives too? Great!
Because the small, Mediterranean fruits are not only a delicious, low-calorie snack for in between meals (100 grams of green olives = approx. 140 kcal), they are also extremely healthy. Olives are rich in polyphenols, bioactive plant substances, which are supposed to protect against cardiovascular disease, low-grade inflammatory processes and even cancer. In addition, polyphenols have antibacterial, antiviral and vascularly protective properties. Olives clearly have a lot more to offer than chips and tacos ever could. So just put out a small bowl of olives in the evening for snacking!
