Grandma's blueberry muffins

Grandma’s blueberry muffins

Did you always look forward to Grandma’s cake so much as children? On warm early summer days, she always made blueberry muffins. Mmmm, they were delicious! Over the years, we have tried many recipes. But none were as delicious as hers. How nice that she gave us her recipe the other day! And for all those who are looking forward to the old classic again, we copied it down right away. Have fun making it!

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of blueberries
  • 100 g of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Grated peel of 1 untreated orange

Preparation:

Let the butter slowly melt. Whisk eggs in a bowl. Add sugar, melted and lightly chilled butter and milk and stir. Add the flour, baking powder and salt to another bowl and mix. Add the flour mixture to the remaining ingredients. Stir until all ingredients are slightly moist. Fold in the orange peel and berries. Place the muffin paper in a muffin plate and fill ¾ high with batter. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in the oven at 180° C for about 25 minutes until the muffins are broken open.
